How to apply for money

There are many different funding schemes available to researchers at all levels of their career.  The Research & Development Office can offer advice as to which scheme will suit you and your idea best.  They will also support you in all aspects of any applications you wish to submit to a funder, running Patient & Public Involvement focus groups, project costing's and study design.

Research Design Service Yorkshire and Humber

Funded by the National Institute for Health Research, the Research Design Service Yorkshire and Humber supports researchers to develop and design high quality research proposals to the National Institute for Health Research and other national, peer reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research.  All services are provided free of charge, and can help researchers transform ideas into research proposals or develop existing research proposals.

York Trials Unit

York Trials Unit works to undertake national, scientifically rigorous, randomised trials of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing or potential health care interventions in health care.
